What's Song Brocade?

Song brocade developed in the Song Dynasty and flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and has a history of more than 1000 years in China. The raw material is mulberry and the production process is complex, from reeling and dyeing to weaving products before and after more than 20 procedures to complete. It is known as the "brocade crown" in China.

Song brocade is exquisite in design, elegant in colors, flat and straight, antique in color levels, harmonious and elegant, characterized by weft color, which is a kind of weft brocade with rich colors and exquisite patterns.

Care Instructions

🔹 Regarding Odor

Natural cowhide may have a characteristic "leather scent" — this is normal.To eliminate it, place orange/lemon peels, a scented sachet, or tea bags inside the bag, then leave it in a well-ventilated area for 2–3 days.

🔹 Fabric Maintenance (Song Brocade)

Song Brocade is crafted from natural mulberry silk, which boasts a luxurious sheen and soft handfeel, but is also delicate.

We recommend dry cleaning only to avoid deformation and fading caused by water washing.

🔹 Leather Maintenance

• Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight and contact with corrosive substances, as these can cause discoloration.
• For light-colored bags, avoid wearing unwashed dark clothing to prevent staining.
• Cowhide is prone to scratches, so keep the bag away from sharp objects and hard surfaces.
• Keep the bag away from water. If it gets wet, dry it immediately with a clean cloth, then let it air-dry in a cool, shaded place — do not use heat or direct sunlight.
• When not in use, stuff the bag with soft material to maintain its shape, store it in a dust bag, and keep it in a cool, dry place.

When not in daily use, store the bag in a dust bag away from direct sunlight, in a cool, dry location.
